Sept 2018: Time flies when you are having fun. I gave another talk on why NVMe over TCP is the best way to disaggregate flash storage at the 2018 Flash Memory Summit. You should also check out our awesome demo.

July 2015: It was bound to happen eventually. My M.Sc. thesis, "The nom Profit-Maximizing Operating System", is now available. This, I believe, is the future.
July 2015: Our latest paper, "Securing Self-Virtualizing Ethernet Devices", is now available. I will be presenting it at Cyberday 2015. You should stop by if you want to know why it might be a good idea to have a hypervisor in between your virtual machine and the enterprise network.
April 2015: Slides from my talk Market-Driven Resource Allocation in Rack-Scale Systems, as presented at the Second International Workshop on Rack-Scale Systems (WRSC'15) are now available.
March 2015: 19 co-authored papers, 4 years, one consulting company, one startup, and one cool operating system later, it's time to wrap up my M.Sc. Yes, for real. The talk "The nom Profit-Maximizing Operating System" will take place on April 1st (no joke...), at 2:30PM in the Technion, and anyone is welcome to join.

September 2014: I've been working as the Chief Scientist of Stratoscale for a while. We do cool stuff with hyper-converged infrastructure.
January 2014: None of the authors are at IBM Research any more, but I was still pleased to hear that our paper "ELI: Bare-Metal Performance for I/O Virtualization" has won IBM Research's Pat Goldberg Memorial Best Paper Award for 2012.
January 2014: "Ginseng: Market-Driven Memory Allocation" will be presented at VEE'14.
November 2013: Our latest paper, "Ginseng: Market-Driven Memory Allocation" (in the cloud), is now available!
July 2013: The paper and slides from my talk "The nonkernel: A Kernel Designed for the Cloud" at APSYS'13 are now available.
June 2013: I will be attending (most of) ISCA 2013 in Tel-Aviv (at last, no flying required!) and SYSTOR 2013, in Haifa, where I'll also present our ELVIS paper in the "Highlight Papers" track.
June 2013: Our paper "The nonkernel: A Kernel Designed for the Cloud" will appear at the 4th Asia-Pacific Workshop on Systems (APSYS 2013).

Oct 2012: The OSDI '12 version of the nom poster, "Rearchitecting System Software for the Cloud", is now available, as is a two-page extended abstract.

Jun 2012: I've been working on a new operating system, nom, which is finally starting to come together: a two-page extended abstract describing what we are doing is now online; alternatively, see the pretty poster.

May 2012: Busy month coming up. I'll be in Barcelona for an IOLanes EU meeting on the week of May 27th, in Haifa for SYSTOR and TCE on the week of June 3rd, and in Boston for HotCloud and USENIX ATC on the week of June 10th.
Apr 2012: Our position paper "The Resource-as-a-Service (RaaS) Cloud" has been accepted to appear in HotCloud '12. "Potential to generate discussion: 4. Passionate fights will break out, hire security". Indeed!
Mar 2012: The extended version of our paper "Deconstructing Amazon EC2 Spot Instance Pricing" has been accepted to appear in ACM Transactions on Economics and Computation.
Mar 2012: Our paper "Towards Exitless and Efficient Paravirtual I/O" will appear at SYSTOR 2012.
